In the latest episode of Seeking Brother Husband, Elisa went on a date with a man named Isaac. She had met him online through her profile which her mother helped her set up. The photos were taken by her mother and then Elisa made sure to note that she was married. Additionally, she added what she was really looking for in another partner. As she was getting ready to go out, her husband Mike seemed to be a tad uncomfortable. He looked like a boy who was watching his friends get ready to go to a party and he had to stay home.

Plus, Elisa essentially said that Isaac was everything Mike was not so that had to sting. Though the date was a bust, Elisa tried to open up to her husband about what she wanted. This could include friends with benefits which made Mike look at her like she was crazy yet was she? According to Starcasm, what the couple is portraying is not completely accurate. It seems that both Elisa and Mike are both free to date other people. The couple even has a podcast dedicated to sharing their polyamorous life, Poly+Amor=Us, which has been on for over two years.

One fan asked Elisa about Seeking Brother Husband and why they allow themselves to be labeled polyandrous. “The show is focusing on women, so they have given us the label of polyandrous. But Mike and I identify as polyamorous. Mike has the same freedom to date as I do. Thanks for asking! I’m happy to clarify. I can’t speak for all the women on the show, but I do believe they all identify as polyamorous as well. But I could be wrong about that,” she shared.

He Can Live The Same As His Wife

Despite Seeking Brother Husband portraying Mike as a jealous and nervous husband, this is not true. According to Elisa, it was actually Mike’s idea for them to see other people. The story viewers were told was that Elisa felt a connection with another person while line dancing. This was before the two got married. Then, Mike had to decide if he wanted to stay with Elisa or leave her but he opted to stay and marry her. This is seemingly untrue as Elisa shared the manifesto behind the podcast.

Mike brought the idea of polyamory to Elisa when they were originally dating. They then decided to explore this lifestyle so where the line dancing situation comes in is very unclear. The podcast may give more insight but if you’re a viewer feeling bad for Mike, don’t be. He is having just as much fun as Elisa.
