It is a devastating time for Mama June and her family. A Family Crisis as the new title of their WeTV series implies. June Shannon has four daughters but it is her eldest daughter who is in the spotlight right now. Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell has apparently been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. According to TMZ, a family source has shared this information about the diagnosis and what has transpired since. It dates back to January of this year when she learned she had stage 4 adrenal carcinoma.

Initially, Anna was suffering from horrid stomach aches so tests were run on Mama June’s daughter, 28. It was then discovered that she had cancer in her lung, liver, and kidney. The family immediately banded together to be with Anna and it is said that she has already undergone chemo. Sadly, she has started to lose her hair from the one round she went through. As of now, the doctors are seeing how well Anna does now that she has had her first round of chemo. Then, they will make further decisions as to what to do next.

Since she has two kids, 10, and 7, Anna needs all of the help that she can get at the moment. Thankfully, she has a boyfriend by her side to assist and, again, it has been said that her family has really rallied. This is an interesting development considering she was seen at Mama June’s vow renewal in February. All four of June’s daughters were there to walk her down the aisle as this will be a part of this season’s storyline.

Mama June fans have been wondering where Anna Cardwell has been lately in terms of reality television. She has been noticeably absent since the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo days. Then she came out and shared that one of Mama June’s boyfriends had sexually assaulted her when she was younger. Ultimately, she and June became estranged however she remained close to her sisters and Aunt Doe Doe. Things have gotten much better over the last year and everyone has come together. Now, fans will see Anna again on TV but it is unclear if her cancer will be featured.
