Rob Marciano’s First ‘GMA’ Appearance Amid Shocking Claims

Rob Marciano banned from ABC Studios

On Sunday, March 19, Page Six first reported that Rob Marciano was banned from ABC Studios. He allegedly “made several colleagues feel uncomfortable.” The decision came from a series of “alarming events” at the workplace. He hasn’t returned to the physical studios for about a year.

This comes as fans wondered why Rob took a step back from GMA. He used to appear on the weekend edition of the talk show. Then, he would appear every so often during the weekday edition. Rob was reportedly taking a step back from his full-time position amid his divorce from his ex-wife, Eryn.

It had something more to do with his behavior. Rob was dealing with “anger issues” during his divorce. He would show up to work “cranky and angry.” An insider associated with ABC Studios revealed that he “made a female colleague feel uncomfortable last year.”

Sources didn’t explain exactly what happened between the meteorologist and the female colleague. They also didn’t reveal if it all happened at once. Rob had “some issues” with his colleagues and “they still haven’t let him return.” He was promptly removed from the air for one month after those incidents took place.

However, Rob Marciano is still part of the ABC News family. He appears on Good Morning America and ABC World News Tonight with David Muir. However, he cannot work with his colleagues in the studios. He can only report the weather throughout the country. Rob wants to return to ABC Studios, but they’re not budging during this time.

Makes his first live appearance on GMA

Rob Marciano made his first live appearance since the allegations came out. He appeared on Tuesday’s broadcast of GMA. Rob spoke to fill-in co-anchor Whit Johnson, who was in the New York City headquarters. Rob reported live from the west coast as he talked about the rain in Los Angeles.

“Here we are in spring, but we’re in a wet winter that refuses to end in California,” Rob Marciano explained to Whit Johnson. “This is going to be a slow-moving event, heavy winds will  bring down trees, power outages, too — a two-day event here coming and another big pulse of moisture coming in later this afternoon and tonight.”
