‘DWTS’: Derek Hough Reveals His Fate For Season 32
Will Derek Hough make it back to the ballroom for Dancing With The Stars Season 32?
This is the question that many DWTS fans have been wondering over the past several weeks. The Utah-native dancer recently shared that he would be going on tour this fall. It’s an exciting move for Derek Hough, but what does that mean for his judging gig on Dancing With The Stars?
On the heels of a major casting announcement today, Derek revealed whether or not he would return to the show this year. Keep reading to see what he had to say.
Will Derek Hough come back to the judges’ table in the fall?
There’s a lot going on for the Hough family right now. Derek and his fiancee Hayley Erbert are busy planning their wedding, while Julianne Hough just confirmed that she will return to DWTS this fall. She will take over for Tyra Banks, who spontaneously decided she didn’t want to be the hostess anymore.
Fans couldn’t be happier to see that Julianne Hough will make her grand return to DWTS. But what about her big brother Derek?
The tour will certainly take up a fair amount of the 37-year-old dancer’s time. However, he’s positive he can make it work. He confirmed on social media that he will indeed return to DWTS this fall.
“Here We Go ! Season 32 is officially official,” Derek Hough shared on Instagram today. “Yes, I will be on @dancingwiththestars and Touring the Country simultaneously so you can all tell me in person if you agree with my scores in real time😉 Is it FALL yet ? Can’t wait!
Oh. I hear we have a new co-host. She has a weird last name, really hard to pronounce.”

Plenty of Dancing With The Stars viewers are excited that Julianne and Derek are reuniting this fall. But what exactly happened with Tyra Banks?
The supermodel told TMZ out of the blue that she was going to pursue other projects and wasn’t interested in a DWTS return. Moving forward, Tyra wants to focus on entrepreneurship and promoting her ice cream line.
Since Tyra took over hosting duties in Season 29, she’s been pretty unpopular with fans. Hopefully now that Julianne is back, the show will flow more smoothly.
