There is no Christmas in this one. It’s a Hallmark Mystery movie. The Jane Da Silva mystery is going to be coming this spring. So, I’ll keep you guys all posted on that.
As Hallmark has already announced their April Spring Into Love movies, they should expect to see this new Jane De Silva mystery sometime in May or June.
What Is Jane DaSilva Mystery Series About?
Hallmark’s new Jodie Sweetin mystery is the Jane Da Silva mystery series. They are based on K.K. Beck’s comedic cozy mystery novels from the 1990’s. The names of the books are A Hopeless Case, Amateur Night, Electric City, and Cold Smoked. Jodie did not identify if the Hallmark mystery will be based on one of these books.
What we know about the series is that Jane DaSilva is a recently widowed expat. However, the death of her race-car driver husband and an inheritance from her Uncle Harold have brought her back home to Seattle.
Her uncle had privately helped people get through some adversity, but this business cannot be advertised. But, somehow people find her. Moreover, she solves some pretty gnarly mysteries, with the occasional help of Calvin Mason, a lawyer, and PI.
According to Amazon, K.K. Beck, also known as Kathrine K. Beck, has written 17 crime novels. In addition, the Seattle-based author has written a nonfiction book, Opal: A Life Of Enchantment, Mystery and Madness.
In addition, Beck has been nominated for the prestigious Edgar award, as well as nominated for an Agatha award. The Edgar is named after Edgar Allan Poe and is given by the Mystery Writers Of America. The Agatha award is named after Agatha Christie. This award is awarded to the top mystery. Their caveat is that these books do not contain any gratuitous sex or violence.
