Are Tammy Slaton and Caleb Willingham actually married?
Fans of 1000-Lb. Sisters were more than a little surprised by how quickly Caleb Willingham came into the picture. Tammy was instantly smitten with him after meeting him at rehab. The two reportedly fell in love and got married toward the end of last year at the facility. The wedding was a small ceremony surrounded by friends and family. The ceremony was assumed to be paid for and filmed by TLC. The question, however, is: Was the wedding even real?
Was this just a story arc drummed up for the TV series? Or, is this couple the real deal and they just missed an important step in their marriage process? According to a few different media outlets, the state law in Ohio requires individuals to obtain a marriage license prior to getting married for the marriage to be valid. Court documents have been unearthed that suggests Tammy and Caleb may have not obtained a license prior to their little wedding ceremony. So, legally, they would NOT be recognized as a married couple in the state of Ohio.
Fans recognize there could be a few different reasons for this. First, it is possible Tammy and Caleb wanted to wait until they were out of rehab and presumably moved back into her home in Kentucky before legally getting married. Alternatively, it is possible this union was all for show and was never intended for them to be legally married.
While fans may not know exactly what is and isn’t true, court documents do suggest this is presently NOT a legally married couple.

This whole thing smacks of editing fraud. I do not believe they are married.
They probably couldn’t get to the courthouse to get the license. I do hope they can soon, Tammy deserves someone who will love and make her dreams come true. She has kissed alot of frogs, now she’ll get her prince. I have always rooted for Tammy even she was drinking, vaping and doing unimaginal things. She bit the bullet and got her surgery, You go girl. Mrs Caleb Willingham. Sper proud of you Tammy. Shoot for the stars, you are one!!!
Someone mention the ceremony we saw on 1000 pound sisters was staged for show only and they legally got married on Janurary 18th.
