Jen Shah suffers an anxiety attack on her way to prison
Jen Shah made a post on her way to prison on Thursday. According to the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, she had to have Coach Shaw pull over on the way because she was having an anxiety attack. She said that she was unable to “Facetime my oldest baby.”
However, she finally connected with him and said he told her that it would be okay and she was just minutes away from surrendering to the Bryan Federal Prison.
“My worst fear and the unimaginable was about to happen,” she wrote. “Having to say goodbye to my sweet husband and precious baby Omar (he’ll always be my baby even though he’s a senior in HS).”
According to the United States Department of Justice, the courts found Jen Shah guilty of running a nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme. She was sentenced to 78 months in prison, a sentence handed down by United States District Judge Sidney H. Stein after she plead guilty to the charges.
“With today’s sentence, Jennifer Shah finally faces the consequences of the many years she spent targeting vulnerable, elderly victims,” U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said. “Shah and her co-conspirators defrauded them out of their savings and left them with nothing to show for it.”
These crimes lasted from 2012 until March 2021, when she was arrested.
