American Idol had its next round of auditions and the judges couldn’t help but marvel at contestant We Ani’s vocal range. Even the viewers were impressed by the young performer. When she started introducing herself, the judges thought her squeaky voice wouldn’t be ideal for singing. However, she soon proved them wrong and managed to blow them away. We Ani Was Also A Participant At The Voice
This isn’t We Ani’s first time participating in a singing reality show, according to Meaww. She previously appeared on The Voice Season 11 and reached the top 3 positions. Achieving this milestone in The Voice was a big thing for Ani who was always bullied for her squeaky voice in school. However, she easily managed to leave the viewers and coaches impressed with her deep and strong vocals.

Raised in Paterson, New Jersey, We Ani started singing and playing the piano when she was just four years old. She also started acting at the age of six. Later, at the age of 12, she enrolled in the Harlem School Of Arts. At 17, she participated in The Voice and managed to turn four chairs with her Feeling Good performance. In 2016, she finished in the top 3 on the show. Ani also has 111K followers on Instagram and is popular on social media.
Katy Perry Gasps At We Ani’s Performance
Now, watching her audition performance at American Idol, fans believe she has the potential to win the singing reality show. We Ani auditioned with Demi Lovato’s song Anyone and the judges loved her performance. Lionel Richie admitted that he didn’t want to put her performance in the ridiculous category but it was ridiculous. The moment Ani started singing, Katy Perry’s jaw dropped and the judges couldn’t help but marvel at how her singing voice was different from her normal one.

Lionel mentioned that the performance was amazing while Katy quipped, “Way to throw a curve ball.”
Luke too agreed with Lionel and added, “Yeah Ani you have an amazing voice. I am not going to get into science. But you are going to Hollywood.”
All three judges said yes to Ani and she successfully advanced to the next stage of American Idol.
Fans Claim We Ani Is Their Winner Pick For The Season
Several fans even recognized her from her stint in The Voice and expressed that she is better than before. One fan mentioned, “WAS WAITING PATIENTLY for her audition.. she’s incredible and followed her since her days at The Voice back 6 years ago!!..she’s my winner pick.”
