Is Another ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Pro Retiring Soon?
Each and every year, the cast of Dancing With The Stars changes. Dancers retire or move on and producers cast new talented individuals to step into their shoes.
Cheryl Burke, who had been with DWTS since its early days, stepped down as a pro dancer last year. However, it seems that another pro may be close behind her.
Who else could be permanently leaving the ballroom behind?
Dancing With The Stars pros come and go — and lifestyle factors play a part
Many pro dancers are in their early 20s or even late teens when they join Dancing With The Stars. Viewers more or less watch them grow up on the show as they compete for the Mirrorball Trophy year after year.
It makes perfect sense that a dancer’s life will grow and evolve over time. Many get married and go on to have children. And starting a family frequently factors into a dancer’s decision to retire from the show.
Right now, there is a massive baby boom going on with the Dancing With The Stars cast. Jenna Johnson gave birth to her son in January, but there are four other expecting pros. Peta Murgatroyd is due in June while Lindsay Arnold, Witney Carson, and Daniella Karagach are all due in May.
Rumor has it that one of the expecting mothers might be calling it quits when it comes to professional ballroom dancing.
Lindsay Arnold was heavily expected to rejoin the cast of DWTS ahead of Season 31. However, her name was absent from the cast list when it came out. The 29-year-old revealed that she chose to sit out this year in order to be a full-time mom to her daughter, Sage.
Shortly after, she announced her pregnancy.
Lately, interviewers have referred to her as a “former Dancing With The Stars pro.” So is she really going to retire?
Right now, things could go either way for Lindsay Arnold
Lindsay Arnold is due in May, which means she will have the summer to train and prepare for the DWTS Season 32 premiere this September if she chooses to return.
The Season 25 champion could very well retire. After all — she will have two little ones at home. However, she also potentially chose to sit out Season 31 for a very specific reason.
Lindsay Arnold publically announced her pregnancy well before the other dancers who are due in May, which means she likely already knew she was pregnant when the cast list came out. Daniella Karagach and Witney Carson both previously said they didn’t find out they were pregnant until the season already started.
On top of that, Lindsay also later admitted that she was nervous about her current pregnancy after struggling with a pregnancy loss. In other words, she and her husband Sam were likely actively trying to have a child. It makes perfect sense that she opted to sit out because she hoped to become pregnant while Season 31 aired.
At this point, things could go either way for Lindsay Arnold. Do you think she will come back or retire? Share your thoughts in the comments.
