As shown on their TLC shows, 19 Kids & Counting and Counting On, the Duggar kids follow very strict rules when it comes to dating. For one, they court rather than date. This is essentially dating with the intent to marry rather than dating causally. Most of the Duggar kids have only had one serious relationship and end up marrying that person.
While they’re in courtships, they are expected to be chaperoned by a parent or responsible sibling at all times. They also cannot kiss, front hug, hold hands, or engage in any other PDA until marriage. There’s a big focus on purity and abstinence leading up to the wedding day. It seems like most of the Duggar kids so far have adhered to these rules.
Did Jinger & Jeremy Vuolo kiss before marriage?
It looks like Jinger and Jeremy saved their first kiss for their wedding day. This was Jinger’s first kiss, but it wasn’t Jeremy’s. According to an anonymous Reddit user, he reportedly dated another woman before dating Jinger. The source claimed that Jeremy and his girlfriend “hooked up.”
In an older episode of Counting On, Jinger opened up about her first kiss. She, her sisters, and a friend were discussing wedding plans, and the topic of her upcoming first kiss was discussed. She said, “I’m not nervous about the first kiss, I’m just excited. Jeremy and I just decided it’ll probably be a super special moment, there together with everybody there to witness. It may be a little awkward if we miss, but, hey, we’re going to do it anyways.”
Today, Jinger has separated herself from her parents’ strict rules and religious beliefs. She’s still a Christian but openly does many things she wasn’t allowed to do growing up. For example, she now wears pants and shorts and she’s also not against birth control.
