‘Jeopardy!’ Mayim Bialik Crossed Over To Travis Scott’s World?
Mayim Bialik crossed over into Travis Scott’s world. In the latest broadcast of Jeopardy!, she rapped along to one of his popular lyrics. This came as a surprise to fans who find her “boring” and “stiff.” Keep on reading to learn more.
Mayim Bialik busts out a rap
This week is the High School Reunion Tournament. Some of the Jeopardy! fans have found the clues to be too easy to guess. One of the clues included bars from an old Travis Scott song. Mayim Bialik giggled as she busted out a rap. She returned to the classic game show to host the big event.
It features 27 former Teen Tournament contestants who competed in 2018 and 2019. The winner ends up with $100,000 and a chance to participate in the 2023 Tournament of Champions. Jeopardy! is raising the stakes this season. They promised more competitions and cash prizes.
However, the event features teenagers instead of regular Jeopardy! contestants. The game show is trying to attract their attention with pop culture categories. One of the categories was “Hits From Then and Now.” The $1,000 clue talked about a throwback song from Travis Scott from when the students first competed.
“He rolled into 2019 with a hit tune featuring Drake, rapping ‘ya la flame, he in Sicko Mode,'” Mayim Bialik said.
Contestant Ryan buzzed in first. He responded: “Who is Travis Scott?” He got the clue right. Mayim Bialik tried not to laugh at herself rapping to the lyrics. She tried her best to fully commit to that moment. It was a treat for fans to see the buttoned-up game show host out of her element and off-script.
The other categories included “All the Stars” by Kendrick Lamar, “Bad Guy” by Billie Eilish, and “Thank U, Next” by Ariana Grande.” This comes after Mayim twerked to Beyonce’s song “Cuff It” from her new album, Renaissance. She shared a celebratory video on Instagram amid the singer’s big win at the 2023 Grammy Awards. Mayim revealed to her fans that she was part of the Beyhive.
The Jeopardy! host gets a bad rap
Meanwhile, Mayim Bialik has gotten a bad rap of a different kind. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, fans weren’t happy to see her back on the game show. They got used to Ken Jennings’ way of hosting the game show. She’s been accused of slowing down the pace of the show.
Fans couldn’t help but notice Mayim’s annoying habit this week. She often pauses before telling the contestant if their response was right or wrong. Fans think it ruins the flow of the show. While Ken has taken time to get into his groove, they feel that he’s doing a fine job.
