‘Loose Women’ Alum Jamelia Is Heading To ‘Celebrity Masterchef’

Was Jamelia fired from Loose Women?

Jamelia’s disappearance from Loose Women caused a lot of rumors to swirl. Some of the viewers wondered if the show fired her. Back in March 2017, fans learned that she wasn’t returning to the British daytime talk show. Jamelia denied the rumors about her firing.

At the time, reports surfaced that the singer was quietly removed from the panel. Jamelia made controversial comments about plus-sized women who model for luxury and upscale brands. An ITV spokesperson spoke out about the rumors. They revealed that Jamelia left the show because she was “working on other projects for ITV Daytime.”

Jamelia hasn’t returned to Loose Women ever since then. The timing was suspect and led many fans to think it had to do with her offensive comments. Jamelia informed the Birmingham Mail that she doesn’t plan to co-host the show with Coleen Nolan, Janet Street-Porter, and Nadia Sawalha. She hinted that the show was moving on without her even though they didn’t fire her.

“I haven’t been formally sacked by Loose Women, as other people have been in the past, so I technically still have a job with them,” Jamelia said. “But I haven’t been on the show since those reports, so people will make of it what they will. The show is going in a different direction at the moment and I don’t seem to be part of that narrative.”

Jamelia had doubts about her return to the panel. Shortly thereafter, she launched her own YouTube channel. Now, Jamelia is set to make her start on reality TV. This is good news for fans who missed her on Loose Women.

Joining Celebrity Masterchef

The former Loose Women panelist is getting ready to join Celebrity Masterchef. An insider told The U.S. Sun that Jamelia will be one of the many stars to compete in the upcoming season. She can’t wait to slip on one of the coveted aprons. This is her big return to television.

“Jamelia is excited about Celebrity Masterchef and she’s more than ready to step back into the public eye after giving birth in October,” the insider told The U.S Sun. “Of course, it was nerve-wracking cooking for Gregg [Wallace] and John [Torode], but Jamelia was more than up for the challenge — she had a great time.”
