Netflix’s Squid Game Season 2 might be full of revenge for Gi-Hun. The last we saw of the lead character, he was on his way to the airport to meet his daughter in America to give her half of his winnings. However, on the way, he spots the very same salesman he met before recruiting a new player for the game. He picks up the game card and calls on the number asserting that the game needs to end. Squid Game is the streamer’s most-watched series and has even inspired a reality show that is currently filming at the Cardington Studios located in Bedfordshire in the United Kingdom. The popular series tells the tale of a secret game show contest that brings together 456 players.

These are the people that are tangled in financial hardships and are unable to clear their dues. The game is inspired by popular kids’ games in South Korea. However, it features a sick and deadly twist that leads to the death of anyone who loses the game.
Squid Game Season 2 Will Have Revenge For Gi-Hun
As reported by Meaww, the upcoming Season 2 might repeat a portion of the Season 1 story arc. The debut season featured names like Kim Joo-ryoung, Heo Sung-tae, Wi Ha-joon, Lee Jung-jae, HoYeon Jung, Anupam Tripathi, and O Yeong-su. The series creator derived the story from his own past experiences when he struggled financially. This was Hwang Dong-hyuk’s take on South Korea’s harsh and dark side regarding class disparity.

Season 2 will premiere on the streamer sooner than expected. So, by the end of 2023 or early 2024, fans can start binging on their favorite show. Lee Jung-jae, who is returning to the show as Gi-hun confirmed that filming for the second season will start in the summer of 2023. The actor explained that “The main plot of Season 2 will be revenge, and the key figure who controlled the workings of the games in Season 1 was Lee Byung Hun sunbae.”
Who Is The Front Man In Squid Game?
For the unversed, Lee Byung-hun portrayed Hwang In-ho, also known as the Front Man. Although the Old Man or Oh Il-nam was the main man behind the ideation of these games, In-ho was tasked with organizing and overseeing the games. The upcoming season will focus on Gi-hun seeking his revenge while the Front Man tries to ensure nothing goes wrong with the games.
