‘LIVE!’ Ryan Seacrest Shares True Feelings On Replacement

Ryan Seacrest speaks to Mark Consuelos

On Friday’s broadcast of Live with Kelly and Ryan, the co-anchor spoke to Mark Consuelos. Ryan Seacrest welcomed him to the LIVE! family. The busiest man in Hollywood was emotional during their talk. Ryan shared his true feelings about his replacement.

“I do want to say you’re a brother to me, you’re a family member to me,” Ryan Seacrest exclaimed. “I’ve become so close with both of you. The three of us sat, before I moved out here, and had real conversations about doing this for a few years.”

The American Idol host admitted that his co-hosting gig became “longer than I thought.” He was proud to see Mark sitting next to his wife. Ryan called Kelly “the most amazing human being on the planet.” Mark also likened the television producer to a “brother” as well.

“You’re a true friend. You’re a brother. You’re generous to my wife, to my whole family,” Mark shared. “I got to meet your family. I love your parents, your niece, your sister, your brother-in-law.”

Kelly held Ryan’s hand during the tender and sweet moment. She patted his shoulder as she told Mark not to make him cry. Ryan tearfully sent the show to a commercial break. He looked over at Kelly, who broke down in tears as well.

Leaving Live with Kelly & Ryan

On Thursday, February 16, Ryan Seacrest shocked the viewers when he announced that he was leaving the show. He shared his news with Kelly sitting next to him and smiling at him. The television personality couldn’t do cross-country traveling anymore. It became too much for him.

“This has been the greatest time for me. I can’t thank you enough,” Ryan Seacrest told Kelly.

She assured him that he is one-of-a-kind. While Kelly is happy to have her husband on the show with her, she told Ryan that “nobody can really do what you do.” She told the audience that he “is a good man.” Kelly will have Ryan guest host and give her updates on his personal life.
