The Masked Singer Season 9 premiered and now fans want to know, who is Medusa? The first week saw two eliminations, including one by the oldest competitor in the show’s history. However, the tough choice came down to Mustang vs. Medusa and Mustang went home.

Here is what we know about who Medusa is on The Masked Singer.

Who is Medusa on The Masked Singer?

The Masked Singer Season 9 premiere saw three singers battle it out and only one moved on. This included one male singer with Gnome and two females with Mustang and Medusa. The way the format is set up is that one of the singers unmasks and leaves in the middle of the episode.

To start things off, Mustang came out and sang Whitesnake’s “Here I Go Again.” We already shared this early performance with you before the episode aired. Gnome followed this up with the Frank Sinatra song, “When You’re Smiling.” After that, Medusa sang, “Happier Than Ever” by Billie Eilish.

When this ended, the fans voted and Gnome ended up with the least votes. He was unmasked as iconic 97-year-old actor/comedian Dick Van Dyke. This was a huge surprise and left Nicole Scherzinger in tears.

Up next was the Battle Royale sing-off between Mustang and Medusa. The two sang “Diamonds” by Rihanna. By the end of that, fans had an idea of who Mustang was, and she ended up with the least amount of votes. This ended up as country music star Sara Evans.

That means that Medusa is moving on to the next round. But, who is Medusa on The Masked Singer? A lot of people on Twitter thought it might be Fergie under the costume. Others guessed Willow Smith. But what do the clues say?

Medusa’s clues on The Masked Singer

As mentioned, Medusa sang the song “Happier Than Ever” by Billie Eilish. The costume itself is a green one, with all the snakes coming out of the head and from around her waste. The body suit is scaled with colorful jewels and gold accents. She also seemed much shorter than both Mustang (5’9″) and Gnome (6’1″).

Here are the clues from her package on the show. There is a DVD called Medusa: Snakes on the Astral Plane and a note that said “$340 million sold.” There was also the note, “Sometimes, success comes in the grayest of places.” Finally, there was a look at Buckingham Palace.

When it comes to Medusa talking, she said she “grew up far from the spotlight, a dancer in the dark.” She also said she never fit in. However, she learned to “stand out” early on and never conformed. She mentioned her “oddities, snakes and all” took her to the Super Bowl to The Masked Singer (she has been there before “technically.”)

The panelists had their guesses: Elle Goulding, Meghan Markle, Bjork, Jessie J, Charlie XCX, Dua Lipa, and Lorde.

There is a chance it is Fergie since she did perform at Super Bowl 45 with the Black Eyed Peas. As for that Buckingham Palace clue, Fergie’s debut album was The Dutchess and there is another Fergie that has a connection with Buckingham. There is also an Argentine duo called Fergie & Sadrian with a song called “Astral Plane.”

However, based on the clues, we believe it is Bishop Briggs.
