Good news for Trevor Donovan fans! He is filming a new movie called It’s You. According to his official website, he is “retiming with writer/director Larry Rippenkroeger.” Rippenkroeger directed Donovan’s film Hot Water. Now they are teaming up for a comedic time travel movie. Here is the description.
It’s You is described as a fish out of water comedy where Donovan will play an animal chiropractor who is injured in a freak accident and awakens on an Indian reservation in 1881. Once the reality sinks in, Donovan’s character attempts to earn the respect of the tribe members, most notably the chief’s attractive daughter, resulting in hilarity along the way.
Moreover, this movie was written specifically with Trevor in mind. It is going to showcase Donovan’s “unique” sense of humor. This is something that his romcom fans have not seen before!
In addition, he will be working with stuntman Tad Griffith. Griffith will be in charge of the action and stunts.
Lastly, It’s You will be filmed in “predominately” native lands. The cast will be mostly Native American.
Trevor Donovan’s UglyMugg Productions, along with his collaborator Michael Yanni will produce.

One of the greatest mysteries of It’s You is who will air this movie. It looks to be an acquisition or a major motion picture. An acquisition is a movie that is made and networks like Hallmark, UPtv, or GAF will bid to air it.

Trevor Donovan’s Latest Movies Not With GAF Or Hallmark
In October 2021, Trevor Donovan surprised Hallmark fans when he signed a deal with Great American Family, then called GAC. He was to star in and produce movies for the network. However, except for Danica McKellar’s The Winter Palace, and Jessica Lowndes’ Harmony From The Heart, they did not make any original movies until Christmas 2022.
But, in 2022 Trevor Donovan competed with Emma Slater on Dancing With The Stars. During this period, GAF was filming their holiday fare. Therefore, he did not get to be in a 2022 GAF holiday movie.
But, fans of the 90210 alum did see him in three separate movies, two of which aired on UPtv. The two on UPtv were Aloha With Love and The Engagement Plot. The latter was a huge hit as he co-starred with Rachel Boston and Jacklyn Collier. Lastly, he starred in Wolf Hound, a Lionsgate movie that is based on a true WWII story.
Also, the highly-anticipated Reagan has been waiting for an official release. Hopefully, that will be released in 2023.
