Netflix‘s Kai Ko‘s Face Disfigured By Camera Drone While Filming
Netflix’s breakout star Kai Ko Chen-tung’s face was recently disfigured by a camera drone accident while filming. The entertainer was injured on the set of the upcoming series on the streamer titled Agent From Above. The 31-year-old was reportedly filming for an action sequence in the fantasy, supernatural series on December 27, 2022. So, how did the accident happen with the Taiwanese actor? Kai Ko Was Struck With Propellor Blades In The Face
Kai Ko, who also works under the alias, Ke Zhendong, was injured as the drone filming him was hovering at close range. The device suddenly malfunctioned and came down crashing on the actor. The Golden Horse Award winner was struck in the cheekbone with one of the blades in the drone. It cut him deep in the face and caused bleeding.

As per the crew members, the cause of the accident was unknown. They also noted that the drone’s propeller blades had protective covering to prevent such accidents. Moreover, nothing exploded and the blades didn’t eject from the machine. At the moment, an investigation is underway to help determine the accident’s cause.
Kai Ko Received 20 To 30 Stitches For His Facial Wound
The production team also released a statement regarding the accident that read, “We are deeply regretful that the accident occurred and injured Kai’s cheeks. Kai was immediately provided medical attention, and his talent management team has also arranged micro-stitching for him. The production team is sorry for the incident and is further investigating the matter. We have temporarily paused filming for our lead actor Kai to allow him time to rest and recover. We are looking forward to having him back on set when he is fully recovered.”

Thankfully, the singer/film director got proper medical attention in time. As reported by Variety, the actor received about 20 to 30 stitches to fix his facial wound. Now, he is recuperating well and also took to Instagram to share details of his recovery. He shared an image of a manga character, Hanamichi Sakuragi with the caption, “I’ll be back soon.”
Kai Ko’s Directorial Debut Movie Received Several Awards
The year 2022 was a big success for Kai Ko. Last year, he released his directorial debut, Bad Education which is an action-packed crime mystery movie. It earned him a nomination for Best New Director at the 59th Golden Horse Awards. The movie also earned several nominations with Berant Zhu winning one for the Best Supporting Actor category.
