Survivor is a game of constant drama. It is rare that those dramas last much longer than the individual seasons they take place in, though. But one of them seems to have a much harder time dying than most of the others. Recently, a beef that goes back nearly 15 years has come back to the surface with a vengeance. And it is forcing everyone in the Survivor community to pick sides.
Old Habits Die Hard
This war goes all the way back to Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains. The 20th season of the show from 2009. It is thought of by many fans as one of the greatest, if not the greatest, season of the show ever made. It also gave us the show’s first two-time winner: the legendary Sandra Diaz-Twine. And that is exactly where this beef comes from.
Sandra has been defending her victory in the final 3 against Parvati and Russell recently. And Parvati has been firing back. It all began with a post on Facebook from Sandra that ends with “And for those Parvati lovers out there go spend 2 hours on survivor with her and see how much you like her then! She’s not that nice.”
This was followed up by a deeper post from Sandra talking about how Parvati had no shot at winning that season. She said that Parvati was so disliked by the other cast members that even if Sandra wasn’t in the final 3, Parvati would lose. Parvati later fired back on Instagram with this:
“Call me anything, but please don’t call me nice. Nice girls don’t win Survivor or build lives they love. You can keep my name in your mouth to stay relevant. I ain’t mad at ya & thanks for the compliment.”
This has set the Survivor community on fire with contestants from all different seasons picking their sides between Sandra and Parvati. Contestants like Tyson and Natalie have come out in support of Parvati, while 3rd place winner Russell has tweeted in support of Sandra. Who’s side are you on?
The Survivor Heat Is Turning Up
The Survivor drama train is always going and is constantly adding new members to give us new juicy conflicts. The newest season, Season 44, is coming up this spring. The promotional video from the end of Season 43 already has the fanbase extremely excited. It looks like it’s going to be an off-the-wall cast utilizing the same format from Season 43. It could be a recipe for one of the best seasons in recent years.
Survivor Season 44 will be premiering on March 1st, 2023.
