Priya Gopaldas announces her career plans

She appeared on Love Island in 2021. Now, she has career dreams of her own. Priya announced that she was studying to become a doctor. The 25-year-old was a medical student from University College London when she was on the ITV2 series.

At the time, she worked in the COVID-19 Intensive Care unit. Priya wants to work towards her medical career. She returned to school after appearing on Love Island. Priya took to Instagram to share a shocking photo of herself not wearing a bikini.

Instead, she wore medical scrubs. Priya snapped a selfie of herself in turquois scrubs with a stethoscope around her neck. She flashed a smile at the camera as she looked comfortable in her element. The former television personality returned to medical school to complete the last year of school.

She’s still earning the qualifications she needs to become a doctor. Priya wrote in the caption: “Spending my final year at a new hospital and kicking things off with an intense placement on A+E (wish me luck!).”

The university student admitted that she hasn’t spent much time on social media lately. That’s because Priya has to study a lot lately. She’s not like other Love Island alumni who share brand sponsorships and collaborations on Instagram. Priya had to shift her priorities to focus on what she wanted to do with her life.

“Haven’t been active on here for a while… spent my summer off-grid, focused on doing all of the things I wanted to do and less of the things I had to do,” Priya wrote in her Instagram post. “But now it’s back to business. Medical school is going to be tough this year and studying will be my main priority. But I also have some very exciting things in the pipeline.”

Priya made her debut on Love Island in 2021. She entered the villa on Day 42 and coupled with Brett Staniland. However, their coupling didn’t last for long. She left the villa just a week later.

In similar news, Love Island returned with its new Winter Series next week. The contestants were unveiled yesterday. They will stay at an eco-friendly villa that’s located in the Franschhoek Wine Valley in South Africa, which provides “millionaire” views.
