Fans Defend Carlin Bates As Critics Blast Layla’s ‘Bratty’ Behavior

Though Bringing Up Bates has come to an end, several of the stars have turned to YouTube to give fans a peek into their lives. So, fans have had a chance to see what is going on with Carlin and Evan’s family. However, until recently, viewers didn’t know much about the two-year-old little girl and her behavior. With her third birthday coming up soon in January 2023, her little personality is starting to shine through.
It looks like some of Carlin Bates and Evan Stewart’s YouTube subscribers have some strong opinions about the little girl’s behavior.
Critics blast Layla Stewart’s ‘bratty’ behavior.
Recently, Carlin Bates and Evan Stewart shared a new video of some of their family’s Christmas festivities, which include opening presents. After watching the video, one Bringing Up Bates critic posted on Reddit and pointed out that Layla seemed “bratty” in this new video.
They wrote:
“Did anyone notice how bratty Layla has become? Yes, she is a darling little girl but in their latest Christmas video, she is getting quite an attitude on her IMO.”
A couple of other critics agreed with the observation. Someone else added, “I do think she is spoiled. Both her parents are very childish themselves so this is expected but it’s also just a part of normal childhood.”
Other fans rush to Carlin Bates’ defense.
Also on Reddit, however, many fans are defending Carlin over her toddler’s behavior. Multiple fans seem to agree that Layla is simply acting like a two or three-year-old child typically does. One said, “I’m guessing you’ve never had a 2 year old? Her behavior is perfectly normal for that age. It’s called The Terrible Twos for a reason.”
Another chimed in, “Its very very normal for toddlers to exhibit this type of attitude and behavior. Its part of them learning to define themselves and exerting control over their surroundings.”
While a handful of critics are worried about Carlin Bates’ daughter Layla’s behavior, plenty of others think it’s nothing abnormal. They think the little girl will eventually outgrow it.
