Bringing Up Bates fans have seen photos of Josie Balka, Carlin Stewart, Alyssa Webster, Katie Clark, and others wearing pants and jeans. Some even wear tank tops or fitted clothing, which Gil would likely frown upon.

On Reddit recently, one Bringing Up Bates fan shared a photo that was posted on Carlin Stewart’s Instagram Stories. In the snap, 15-year-old Ellie Bates is holding her nephew Zade. Interestingly, she is wearing pants.

After seeing this new photo of Ellie, Bringing Up Bates fans began speculating that Gil’s strict rules went out the door once their show was canceled. Some think it was all just an act for the TV series for some reason.
One fan commented, “Weird how the Bates and the Duggars start wearing pants after their shows ended.” They seem to find this suspicious.
Other fans are pointing out that the girls have been allowed to wear pajama pants at home but just couldn’t wear pants out in public. So, that could explain the situation here. Someone else chimed in, “Posting it to the world though kind of defeats the mentality of being allowed to wear it only in the privacy of home.”
Of course, there is no way to know what Gil’s true intentions are. But some fans are certainly raising their eyebrows at this new photo.
