Craig Melvin reveals most-popular Today co-host

On a recent broadcast of the Today Show, Craig Melvin announced the most popular co-host. The stars of the show, Hoda and Savannah are away from the show for another week. Craig filled in for them with his co-anchor Sheinelle Jones. On Tuesday’s episode, Craig mentioned those who are spending time with their families.

“With so many Americans trying to get home for Christmas or waiting to see if loved ones have arrived in time, everyone has their eye on the forecast,” Craig Melvin shared. “Dylan Dreyer is the most popular person right now.”

The camera panned over to the meteorologist, who wasn’t sure of what to say. Dylan let out a nervous laugh. She said: “I’m not sure if that is true but everyone cares about the storm.” The reason why Craig said that is because everyone had their eyes on the “bomb cyclone,” which swept the U.S. over the holiday weekend.

This led to plunging temperatures and record-breaking snowfall. The Today Show shifted the focus to the weather over the weekend. The weatherwoman has been the center of attention lately. However, it isn’t because of her weather reports.

Dylan Dreyer at the center of controversy

As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Dylan Dreyer shocked fans with a photo she shared on her son Calvin’s fifth birthday at the bowling alley. In the snapshot, the Today co-anchor hoisted her other son Oliver, two, on the hip as she held her youngest son Russell, one, in a sling across her body.

Fans wondered why Dylan carried most of the kids. Meanwhile, her husband Brian Fichera stood with Calvin in front of him. On a separate occasion, Today Show fans dragged Dylan Dreyer for the way she spoke to a young girl on the set of the talk show. She interacted with fans outside the headquarters.

Fans weren’t happy when Dylan Dreyer asked a little girl if she wanted to say hello to her father. She shook her head and the crowd laughed. One fan on Twitter didn’t find that moment funny. They called Dylan out for the inappropriate question. The television host asked the fan to not judge her and to forgive her since she asked the girl’s permission beforehand.
