What more did the new trailer reveal? Keep reading to find out the details!
That ‘90s Show Is Set In 1995 Starring Eric Forman’s Daughter
While the spinoff focuses on Kitty and Red’s teenage granddaughter Leia, the trailer hinted that the original cast will also have small roles in the series. In the clip, Topher Grace, Ashton Kutcher, Laura Prepon, Mila Kunis, Tommy Chong, and Wilmer Valderrama are seen reprising their roles. However, the trailer mostly reminds the audience that it would not have the OG cast in the story for long.

That ‘90s Show will focus largely on a group comprised of all-new characters that try to figure out their lives in the ’90s era. The show starts in 1995 with Eric Forman and Donna Pinciotti’s daughter Leia trying to form bonds with other teenagers. She spends the summer with her grandparents in Wisconsin and retraces the events of the original show, especially from the basement.
Ashton Kutcher Feels Nostalgic On That ‘90s Show Set
In a conversation with Variety, Kutcher discussed the spinoff stating, “It was really nostalgic to be back on the set. It’s all the same folks that made That ‘70s Show. So, it was pretty bizarre.”

The Netflix series will have a style similar to its predecessor as a multi-camera comedy with the series creators Terry and Bonnie Turner returning. The spinoff will also have their daughter Lindsey taking charge of the production alongside Gregg Mettler serving as the showrunner. More so, season 1 will have a total of 10 episodes. For fans who loved That ‘70s Show, this new trailer is a whole lot of nostalgia and emotions coming together.
That ‘70s Show Had A Less Popular Spinoff Set In The ‘80s
The original sitcom aired on Fox with a total of eight seasons from 1998 to 2006. It centered on the lives of teenagers from 1976 to 1979. After the show came to its conclusion in 2006, it moved to Netflix where it garnered additional popularity.
The series also had another spinoff titled That ‘80s Show set in 1984 that aired between January and May 2002 on Fox. Although the series had a similar name and structure as the original series, it wasn’t a direct spinoff. Moreover, it wasn’t as successful and the characters and storylines from the two shows never came together. The show received negative criticism and wasn’t renewed for another season.
