The Netflix series will have a style similar to its predecessor as a multi-camera comedy with the series creators Terry and Bonnie Turner returning. The spinoff will also have their daughter Lindsey taking charge of the production alongside Gregg Mettler serving as the showrunner. More so, season 1 will have a total of 10 episodes. That ‘70s Show Had A Less Popular Spinoff Set In The 80s

The original sitcom aired on Fox with a total of eight seasons from 1998 to 2006. It centered on the lives of teenagers from 1976 to 1979. After the show came to its conclusion in 2006, it moved to Netflix where it garnered additional popularity.

The series also had another spinoff titled That ‘80s Show set in 1984 that aired between January and May 2002 on Fox. Although the series had a similar name and structure as the original series, it wasn’t a direct spinoff. Moreover, it wasn’t as successful and the characters and storylines from the two shows never came together. The show received negative criticism and wasn’t renewed for another season.
