Joy-Anna Forsyth’s Children ‘Battling Sickness,’ Are They Okay?
Former Counting On star and Duggar daughter Joy-Anna Forsyth shared with fans this week that her children are “battling illness.” She shared a snap from the doctor’s office with Gideon, 4, and Evelyn, 2, and gave fans a few details about what is going on.
Joy-Anna is also pregnant, which may raise some concerns about her getting sick as well. As we’ve reported, the soon-to-be mother of three has a high-risk pregnancy and needs daily injections. She previously told fans, “I have a MTHFR mutation that can cause blood clots in the umbilical cord going to baby. Because I have had a late term pregnancy loss I am considered high risk and my Dr is having me take blood thinner shots daily.”
While taking care of herself during her pregnancy, she’s also focusing on Gideon’s and Evelyn’s health as they deal with being sick just days before Christmas.

On her Instagram Stories this week, Joy-Anna shared a new photo of Evelyn and Gideon at the doctor’s office. As the brother-sister pair sat on the exam table together, she snapped the picture. Then, she told fans, “Still battling sickness.”
Unfortunately, she didn’t share too much about what is going on with the kiddos. She simply noted, “Now Gid has an ear infection.”
So, it sounds like they’ve been sick for a while now and Gideon is experiencing new symptoms, unfortunately. It’s unclear what else is going on and what symptoms Evelyn has.
The good news is that it doesn’t seem like anything terribly serious. If the kids were in rough shape or needed to be hospitalized, Joy-Anna Forsyth would likely let her social media followers know and ask for prayers.
Are Gideon & Evelyn Forsyth doing any better now?
After revealing to fans that her kids are sick, Joy-Anna Forsyth shared a new photo on her Instagram page. In the snap, her kids are letting their true personalities shine through. Little Evelyn has her hair in pigtails as she rocks a pair of sunglasses, which are personalized with her name. She’s also wearing a sweatshirt, leggings, and sneakers as she holds a drawing board. Beside her, Gideon also has a drawing tablet in his hands, along with a stuffed dog. He’s cozy and casual in a matching sweatsuit set and sneakers. To complete his look, he’s also wearing personalized sunglasses.
The soon-to-be mom of three captioned the post, “So much personality in one pic.”
In the photo, it looks like the Forsyths are ready to head out, so the kids may be on the mend. Hopefully, if they were feeling too sick, Joy-Anna Forsyth would keep them at home.
