Joy Forsyth Shares Details About High-Risk Pregnancy & Shots
Former Counting On star Joy Forsyth is sharing all of the details about her high-risk pregnancy and the shots she takes. The Duggar daughter is currently expecting her third child, but this is her fourth pregnancy. Keep reading for all of the details she’s spilled about her complications and how they are being managed.
In case you missed the news, in October, Joy and her husband Austin revealed to fans that they are expecting a baby due in May 2023. They already have two kids, Gideon, 4, and Evelyn, 2. Sadly, in between the two kids, they had a 20-week pregnancy loss. So, that’s why Joy is being monitored so closely with this pregnancy.
Fortunately, things seem to be going well. Austin and Joy Forsyth recently had a gender reveal party and learned the little one is a boy.
Now, Joy is sharing more details about her pregnancy and her care due to her prior loss.
Joy Forsyth Shares Details About High-Risk Pregnancy & Shots
On her Instagram Stories this past weekend, Joy shared a snap of a shot and said, “Another morning, another shot.” It looks like she received several messages about her shot because she offered further details. She wrote:
“I have a MTHFR mutation that can cause blood clots in the umbilical cord going to baby. Because I have had a late term pregnancy loss I am considered high risk and my Dr is having me take blood thinner shots daily.”
When Joy previously opened up about her shots and complications, she said, “It’s a lot to process, but I’m thankful we found this out now and at the beginning of pregnancy!! thank you all for your love and for following along!”
Also on her Instagram Stories recently, Joy Forsyth shared a few new ultrasound photos and reported that her baby boy is healthy and growing well.
Hopefully, Joy’s pregnancy continues to go smoothly and the baby boy arrives safely in May. She will likely continue to share pregnancy updates over the next few months. So keep an eye on her Instagram profile and YouTube channel.
