Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most successful new anime in the world with only one season and a feature-length film. The movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, broke records as one of the most successful anime films of all time, topping box offices in countries across the world. Season 1 is now over, and thankfully we won’t have to wait too long on the follow-up. We officially have the Season 2 release window announcement along with some interesting details and new art for the new episodes. Let’s talk about all the new information along with what is to come in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2.

New Season 2 Details

Season 2 of the show will cover more backstory for one of the fan-favorite characters, Satoru Gojo. A character we briefly got to see some backstory for in the prequel film Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Recently, along with the release window announcement for Season 2, we also got official art showing a younger Gojo. We see a younger version of him with glasses, along with other characters Suguru Geto and Shoko Ieiri.

Season 2 will primarily cover Gojo’s past arc, along with the Shibuya incident arc. The Shibuya arc is a fan favorite from the manga, and definitely one that will be exciting to see adapted into anime format. The fights in this season could very likely top the already fantastic fights from Season 1 and the film.

The release window we got alongside the new character arc puts the premiere date of Season 2 somewhere in July of 2023. An exact date within the month for the first episode has not been announced as of right now. The bad news is that means we’ll have to wait more than half a year for more Jujutsu Kaisen. The good news is that means we’ll have a full new season before this time next year.

Magic Fight AKA Jujutsu Kaisen

If you’re looking for an anime with high-octane action and fighting like no other, look no further than Jujutsu Kaisen. The amount of time and effort that goes into the animation of each fight to make it as fluid and impactful as possible cannot be understated. It shows in the anime’s wildly passionate fanbase that it has accrued after only a single season. The manga is one of the best-selling of all time, with over 70 million copies in circulation. At present, the manga is still ongoing with 21 volumes in circulation. This means we can expect the show to extend far past Season 2, thankfully.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is coming in July 2023. Season 1 is out in its entirety and available for streaming in the US on Crunchyroll.
