Warner Bros. Discovery CEO Displeased With Netflix

As per CBR.com, Warner Bros. Discovery and Netflix’s relations are currently tense because of an ongoing dispute. This issue is regarding Netflix’s payment terms. The streaming giant usually pays the producers associated with its shows over the course of 18 to 24 months. However, sources claim that Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav is not happy with the same. He also shared his discontent with several key personnel at Warner Bros. Discovery.

This ongoing issue has massively impacted the company’s daily operations. Reportedly, this includes the implementation of a temporary partial embargo on Netflix. Moreover, Zaslav has forbidden his teams from selling finished shows to the streaming giant for an unconfirmed number of weeks.

An insider at Warner Bros. Discovery provided further insights on the matter. They revealed, “It’s an odd way of looking at it. It’s obviously the way the industry works and has worked with Netflix. He’s paid big numbers [by Netflix] and the company has been happy with that. It’s like he suddenly discovered what the payment terms were.”
