What happened on the Today Show?

On Tuesday’s broadcast of the Today Show, Dylan Dreyer was harshly criticized. She spoke to fans outside the New York City headquarters. The co-anchors often do fan meets, even in freezing temperatures. Dylan noticed a cute little girl in the crowd and spoke to her. The young fan revealed that she was from Tennessee and that she loves Dolly Parton.

Dylan Dreyer wanted to know the viewer’s story about her birthday party that paid homage to the country legend. She then asked her who she brought to the morning show. The girl said she invited her mom. “Anyone, you want to say hello to?” Dylan asked her.

She responded “No,” which caused laughter among the crowd. Dylan responded: “Dad’s home watching somewhere right.” The little girl awkwardly nodded. Some of the Today Show fans called her out on social media. Here are some of the comments.

“Shame on you for making a presumptive response this morning regarding the little girl’s father being at home!!! Please try to be more aware and sensitive & PC,” one fan directly called her out on Twitter.

Dylan Dreyer explained herself.  She begged for forgiveness from the Today Show viewers. The co-host admitted that she chatted with the little girl before they went live on the air. The young girl assured her that her father was at “home watching.”

“Please don’t judge me and know that I talk to folks before making blanket statements,” Dylan Dreyer clapped back at the critic.

She returned to Twitter to promote her children’s book, Misty the Clouds Friends Through Rain and Shine. The NBC television personality will be doing a live reading in Tribeca, New York this Saturday. Some fans are looking forward to seeing her in person. It’s likely to be a positive experience for everyone and their children.

Dylan Dreyer made a controversial confession

Back in October, Dylan Dreyer made a controversial confession. She previously took to her Instagram to give fans a glimpse into her parenting life. Dylan was vacationing with her family in Italy. She brought her kids along with her to a wine tasting.

“Wine tasting with kids is a little…different,” Dylan Dreyer wrote on Instagram. “We’ll literally drag our kids to anything we want to do. I look like I’ve been wine-tasting for 5 months.”

Most of her fans defended her parenting decision. They said it was well-deserved. Dylan and Brian Fichera also went on a trip to Rome with his parents. They celebrated many milestones during that trip.
