Hilary Duff All Legs In Tiny Plaid Bottoms
Hilary Duff was all legs in a new Instagram selfie posted on December 7. The How I Met Your Father star shared a photo from her trailer and gave fans a sneak peek at one of Sophie’s outfits from Season 2. She rocked plaid bottoms and a fun tee, putting her toned pins on show as she bent over to tie her lace-up ankle boots.
“Sophie’s fit today. Season 2 of #HIMYF coming sooooon!” she wrote in the caption. Check out the cute pic below!
Hilary Duff Flashes Her Thighs In Short Shorts
The 35-year-old had her sculpted gams on fleek in the mirror selfie as she got ready for shooting. Flashing her thighs in short shorts, she highlighted her fit figure in a high-waist number in dark green and black. A contrasting white strip ran from one hip to the other, accentuating her flat tummy. Shiny black leather boots further emphasized her chiseled pins.
Hilary posed with one leg up on a sofa and bent down to touch her ankle. She looked up at the phone as she snapped the pic, flaunting her wavy blond locks and fresh-faced complexion.
The Hulu star teamed the plaid bottoms with a white tee with blue writing across the front. Even though the words appeared backward in the mirror, it was easy to read the message. “I’ll try anything once,” said her T-shirt, with a comment from the official Hulu Instagram account noting: “That shirt sounds like Sophie’s been hanging with Valentina too much.”
Hilary also wore a gold locket necklace and a collection of rings on her fingers. The actress showed off her classy red manicure as she held up the phone, but it was her smoking-hot legs that caught the most eyeballs.
When Does HIMYF Season 2 Air?
No other details about HIMYF Season 2 were made public yet but it’s safe to say we can expect the new season premiere next month. The How I Met You Mother spin-off debuted on Hulu in January. According to Looper, Season 2 will likely come out in January 2023 and will bring back much of the main cast, including Kim Cattrall, who plays future Sophie from the year 2050, and Francia Raisa, a.k.a. Valentina.
Chris Lowell (Jesse) and Suraj Sharma (Sid) are also back in Season 2, as are Tom Ainsley (Charlie) and Tien Tran (Ellen).
Surprise! 🥳 You'll be seeing more great chapters in this love story because #HIMYF has been renewed for Season 2! 💚

As far as Josh Peck is concerned, we’re getting some mixed signals about the fate of his character, Drew (Sophie’s love interest in the sitcom). Although Peck confirmed to Entertainment Tonight back in August that Drew is “unofficially official” for the new season, Looper is reporting that his character won’t be making a comeback after Drew and Sophie broke up in the Season 1 finale.
Another big question is whether any other cast members of HIMYM will be returning to the show. As fans know, Cobie Smulders reprised her role as Robin Scherbatsky alongside Joe Nieves’ Carl in the finale. Laura Bell Bundy (Becky) and Kyle MacLachlan (George Van Smoot, a.k.a. The Captain) also had cameos on the show.
Fans Are Pumped To See Hilary Duff Play Sophie Once Again
Fans will have to be patient for just a little longer to find out what Season 2 is bringing. Needless to say, people were excited to see this first look at Sophie in the new season. The photo got over 418,000 likes and 2,300-plus comments, more than any of Hilary’s recent posts.
- “Stay calm [it’s] happening.”
- “Obsessed with this look!”
- “Lizzie McGuire would be very proud of that outfit.”
- “The real question is where are those boots from???”
