Jenna Ortega’s popular dance on Netflix’s Wednesday now has Lady Gaga going viral on TikTok. The horror-comedy series hasn’t just dominated Netflix’s streaming records in the past few weeks but has also become a viral trend. The titular character’s iconic dance scene in the fourth episode has inspired fans worldwide and #wednesdaydance has surpassed 480 Million views on the app. However, the dance is going viral with the wrong song. Find out more details here!
Wednesday’s Titular Character Approves The Viral Trend
In the episode, Wednesday Addams showcases her enchanting moves at the annual Rave’N Dance in the Nevermore Academy. The original song she dances to is a 1981 track by The Cramps titled Goo Goo Muck. However, the dance went viral with a Lady Gaga song titled Bloody Mary. And now that her song is trending, the American singer reacted to the same.
She tweeted, “Slay Wednesday! You’re welcome at Haus Of Gaga anytime (and bring Thing with you, we love paws around here).”
Lady Gaga’s tweet was actually a response to a message posted on Wednesday Addams’ official Twitter handle. The tweet came as an approval by the fictional character for the Blood Mary trend on TikTok.

Lady Gaga’s Bloody Mary Is The Most Shazamed Song
TikTok has a history of reviving old songs and making them trend years and even decades after their release. Thanks to Ortega’s wicked dance moves and Lady Gaga’s lyrics that sync together like pieces of a puzzle, the song is now the most shazamed title. Be it TikTok or Instagram, fans are sharing their own versions of this spooky dance.
While the dance is trending on social media, the series has set another record. It has bagged 400 Million viewed hours in mere twelve days post it’s November 23 premiere. Although it hasn’t or might not outside Stranger Things that holds the second spot on the streamer, it sure has been a massive success.
Wednesday Star Jenna Under Fire For Shooting With COVID
However, the series also has had its fair share of controversies. Recently, Jenna shared startling news about the dance scene after which the star and the series makers received backlash on social media. As per Meaww, the 20-year-old shared that she had tested positive for COVID-19 while shooting the dance scene.
The actress also revealed she was being given medicine to ensure everything went smoothly. Furthermore, fans dubbed the production company, MGM, irresponsible for exposing the entire crew to COVID infection. However, the company claimed that the star wasn’t allowed to enter the set after her diagnosis was confirmed.
