Jim Bob Duggar Flaunts Huge Weight Loss Success
Former Counting On star Jim Bob Duggar has had some major weight loss success. The father of 19 revealed to fans recently that he’s lost quite a bit of weight, shared a new photo, and revealed the secrets to his success. Scroll down to see the new photo of him and find out what worked.
The whole Duggar family has been staying pretty quiet lately after Josh’s legal trouble the past couple of years. They have received quite a bit of negative attention, so by not posting, they are able to limit the critical comments they get online.
Jim Bob Duggar flaunts huge weight loss success.
Surprisingly, Jim Bob resurfaced on his family’s blog recently. In a new post earlier this month, the Duggar patriarch revealed that he is now under 200 pounds. He explained to readers that he had gotten home from the Big Sandy Family Camp in October and learned that he weighed 232 pounds. He admitted that he’s eaten a lot of junk food and fast food out of convenience over the years. But seeing the number on the scale was a wake-up call that made him realize he wasn’t healthy.
He went on to say that he told his wife Michelle Duggar that he was going to fast for a few days beginning on Oct. 17. In the post, Jim Bob Duggar wrote, “I was going to fast for a day or two, only drinking some Zipfizz (which has natural green tea extract, vitamin B12, and other vitamins to help with hydration and energy).”
He also added bone broth to his diet during this time. In the blog post, he included a new photo of himself and Michelle.
He continued, “I was only planning to do this for 1-3 days, but after I got started, it was so easy that I decided to do it for 5 days! Then 7 days, then 10 days, then 2 weeks, then 3 weeks, then 4 weeks, then 5 weeks. Now my end goal is 40 days. Two weeks into my bone broth fast, Michelle joined me. We have both lost about a pound a day. By day 35, I had lost 35 pounds.”
Then, Jim Bob Duggar told fans that he was planning to do this for 40 days in hopes of losing 40 pounds. Then, he is going to cut out “white flour, sugar, and unhealthy fats,” while prioritizing vegetables and also exercising.
At this point, he hasn’t shared another update, though it has been 40 days since he began. So, he may share more soon.
