In a conversation with ComicBook, he said, “You probably read or heard about how I’ve always wanted to do a Freddy [Krueger] versus Chucky crossover. I think that would be really fun. But now that we’re doing well in this different medium at Universal, there are other Universal-owned monsters that theoretically could be at our disposal. So, it’s something that we do talk about. I’ll put it that way… I won’t say too much about it, but stay tuned. It’s definitely an interest of mine, as well.”
Dan Mancini Hints At M3GAN-Chucky Crossover
With the entirety of Universal at his disposal, Mancini can draw from a massive pool of lunatics and monsters for the potential crossover. The company has dedicated itself to producing some of the best horror movies since 1931’s Dracula franchise including Daughter Of Dracula. Mancini has already homaged Universal’s sequel naming conventions by choosing titles such as Seed Of Chucky or Bride Of Chucky for some of the recent Chucky Movies.

However, the showrunner doesn’t have to revert to the classics to introduce an exciting crossover. As per CBR.com, Chucky can also go up against the new, over-protective killer robot M3GAN. Mancini said, “I haven’t seen the movie. All I’ve seen is what everyone else has seen and that’s very fun. I wouldn’t be opposed to it.”
John Lafia And Dan Mancini Created The Chucky Character
Mancini was the one to create the Chucky character with John Lafia for the hit horror flick Child’s Play that came out in 1988. He has been with the franchise ever since taking up multiple roles including producer, director, and writer. The franchise started out as a typical high-concept horror franchise about a possessed doll with a serial killer’s intent. However, with time, the series has softly been rebooted as a dark comedy with Bride Of Chucky as the story continued.

The franchise has now been in business for more than three decades. Moreover, the concept has amassed a sizable mythology with recurring characters, several of whom appear in the Syfy series.
