‘Today:’ Missing Al Roker Has His Own Thanksgiving Day Parade

Today co-host Al Roker had his own Thanksgiving Day Parade. As TV Shows Ace reported early this morning, the weatherman was missing from the live broadcast of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. He’s currently recovering from blood clots. On November 18, Al announced on Instagram that he was rushed to the hospital.

His doctor found multiple blood clots on his lungs and legs. This comes as a concern to fans who have been worried about the fan favorite. Al assured his fans that he’s recovering. His co-hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb wished him well at the Thanksgiving Day Parade.

He has since shared some good news.

Today Show Al Roker walks around the hospital

Al Roker took to Instagram to share an update on Thanksgiving Day. The Today Show co-anchor shared a video of himself walking around the hospital. The meteorologist joked that he was having his own Thanksgiving Day Parade since he couldn’t make the big one in New York City.

He looked like he was good in spirits in the Instagram video. Al Roker wore an emerald green, yellow, and gray polo T-shirt with navy blue jeans. He also wore a black baseball cap with his eyeglasses and a surgical face mask. He proudly walked around the halls of the hospital.

The emotional video will put a smile on your face. Al Roker yelled “Wahoo!” as he was discharged from the hospital on Thursday. However, he still had his medical bracelet and an IV connected to his arm. Other than that, he looked ready to head home.

“This my version of the Thanksgiving Day Parade,” Al Roker wrote in his Instagram post. “Getting ready to leave the hospital. Time to blow this taco stand.”

He also shared a photo of himself enjoying the annual Thanksgiving Day Parade. Al had a gray mustache as he gave the thumbs up to the camera. He shared his seal of approval for his fellow colleagues, Savannah and Hoda, who were on the television screen. He appears to be doing well despite his health scare.

The beloved weatherman is feeling thankful

In his Twitter post, Al Roker admitted that he has a lot to be thankful for. He’s just happy to celebrate Thanksgiving in any capacity. Al was also happy to return home to his family and enjoy Thanksgiving dinner. For the first time in 27 years, Al missed out on the annual Thanksgiving Day Parade.

At the top of the live broadcast, Savannah and Hoda shared their love for Al. Fellow co-host Dylan Dreyer filled in for him. She also expressed warm wishes. Meanwhile, Today Show fans were missing him on Twitter.
