He wrote, “So many of you have been thoughtfully asking where I’ve been. Last week I was admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in my leg which sent some clots into my lungs. After some medical whack-a-mole, I am so fortunate to be getting terrific medical care and on the way to recovery.”

Hoping to be back to his healthy self, he added, “Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers, and hope to see you soon. Have a great weekend, everyone.”

Noting his positivity amid the health struggles, Hoda Kotb noted, “Not that you need us to tell you how incredible Al is but the first time I called him he immediately said, ‘Hey Dylly Dill, how are the boys?’ How are you going to ask about the kids? That’s classic Al.”

Daly also noted how badly he is missing Roker’s videos dedicated to his morning workout routine. He mentioned how the weathercaster inspired him daily to stay fit and healthy. Back in 2020, Al also received a prostate cancer diagnosis. However, his cancer was caught early and he underwent a procedure for the removal of his prostate.
