‘The View’ Whoopi Goldberg Backlash Continues Upon Return?

The View moderator Whoopi Goldberg didn’t get a warm welcome this week. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, she made her big return to the daytime talk show. At first, fans were concerned about Whoopi’s whereabouts. She opened up about her health problems before and was missing after her 67th birthday.

Last week, Whoopi’s rep and co-host Joy Behar confirmed that she was recovering from COVID. Whoopi returned to the round table on Monday, November 21 to a cold reception. Fans called her a hypocrite for not wearing a mask since she was still coughing. However, she claims that she’s not sick, she just needs to clear her throat.

Whoopi Goldberg continues to get backlash this week. Some of the fans of The View took to Twitter to call her “annoying.” She made her return after she recovered for a week from COVID. Whoopi admitted that she wasn’t ready to get back to work as she was still feeling the effects of it.

The live studio audience cheered for Whoopi Goldberg when she returned on Monday. She explained that she still had a cough and she found it hard to breathe. Whoopi also had to cough to relieve her voice from the sickness. During the live conversation, the actress got called out for not wearing a mask while stressing the importance of masking.

“This was a rough one, it wasn’t feeling rough, it was rough,” Whoopi Goldberg explained to the panel. “Listen, this is no joke. You know when we wore our masks, everybody was made but nobody got sick.”

Whoopi warned the viewers at home that COVID cases are on the rise this winter. She also assured them that she’s only trying to “clear” her throat when she coughs. Viewers weren’t impressed with her statement and called her out. Some had enough of her repetitive behavior.

During the broadcast, fans took to Twitter to comment. Some of them were sick of hearing her constant coughing. They think it was too soon for Whoopi Goldberg to return back to work. Others blamed the talk show for making her return to work, while others called out her “annoying” cough and hypocritical behavior.
