Joy Forsyth suffers a tragic loss.

If you’ve been keeping up with the Duggars over the past few years, you may recall that Joy experienced a pregnancy loss. Sadly, halfway through her second pregnancy, the baby didn’t have a heartbeat. This was in July 2019. She opened up to fans after it happened and received a lot of support.

After this 20-week loss, Joy went on to have a healthy pregnancy with her daughter Evelyn, and her current pregnancy appears to be going well.

On Instagram over the past couple of weeks, Joy Forsyth has been open about her pregnancy and her previous loss. She recently informed fans that Annabell’s due date had just passed and that she would have been three years old this year. Now, in a recent Q&A session via her Instagram Stories, the Duggar daughter opened up about her current pregnancy.

One fan asked how she had the strength to announce this pregnancy before the 12-week mark. There’s no official rule and she can announce whenever she wants to, of course. But people sometimes wait to announce their pregnancies after 12 weeks due to the risk of miscarriage before that point. However, Joy Forsyth shared her big news fairly early this time. In response to the curious fan, she wrote:

“I have waited until 2nd trimester to announce pregnancies with my other kids, but I decided to announce earlier with this one cause I know that whatever happens, I want a good support system around me and for people to know how to pray for me.”
