In addition, Carolyn McCormick, Byron Jennings, Tiffany Denise Hobbs, Elle Gaper, Larissa Schmitz, Stephen DeRosa, The Radio City Rockettes, Sinem Gulturk, Tommy Bayiokos, Michael Brian Dunn, Dylan S. Wallach, Lisa Helmi Johanson, Sara Gallo, Lucia Giannetta, Caitlin McAvoy, Holly Butler, Donald Wayne, Tom Stratford, Sydney Mesher, Torsten Johnson, Erica Dorfler, Rebecca Ross Bailey, Ruth Gottschall, Marlene Mancini, Hassan Gray, and Jo Jo Carmichael all star in this historic Hallmark movie.
Julie Sherman Wolfe (Hanukkah On Rye, Always Amore) wrote the script and John Putch (American Housewife, You Had Me At Aloha) directed this movie.
What Is Hallmark’s A Holiday Spectacular About?
According to IMDb, this holiday movie is set in 1958, Maggie (Mason) is a Philadelphia heiress who is engaged, but is putting her high-society marriage on hold for a while. She does this because she doesn’t love him. Also, she has a secret dream.
She sneaks up to New York City to make it happen. Her dream is to dance at the Radio City Music Hall, with the Rockettes, in the Christmas Spectacular.
Her protective family believes Maggie is staying in New York with an “approved” friend from her boarding school. However, that is not the case.
Maggie is living an existence, unlike her privileged past. But, she loves this. Most of all, she loves New York and dancing with the Rockettes.
Life gets even more complicated when she meets a U.S. Navy photographer John (Klena). The two feel something more than she ever felt with her high society fiancé.
But, will Maggie be able to tell her parents the truth? Can she tell them that she wants to live in New York and dance at Radio City Music Hall?
Or is she going to be a coward and live a predictable life with someone she does not even love?
