Marvel star shocks fans with his bald head

On Saturday night (November 19), Robert Downey Jr. attended the 13th Governors Awards in Los Angeles, California. He looked like a different man. Some fans mistook him for bald billionaire Jeff Bezos. Robert showed off his newly shaven bald head.

The Iron Man star has rocked spikey hair with dark sunglasses over the years. Robert had fans doing a double take when the photos were shared on social media. He wore a black blazer with a white button-down shirt, black tie, and matching black pants. His wife Susan wore a black evening gown.

The couple also rubbed elbows with Elvis star Austin Butler on the red carpet. When the photos first hit Twitter, fans had no idea who they were looking at. They couldn’t believe that it was Robert Downey Jr. Some of them were in shock over his new look.

So, he explained to his son Exton, 10, and Avri, eight, that he wanted to go bald. His kids used a pair of electric clippers on him. In his Instagram caption, Robert wrote: “The things we do for our work… and our kids.” The Hollywood star first debuted his new look at the screening of Sr, a Netflix documentary about his late father.

Robert Downey Jr also attended the 2022 AFI Festival. He’s trying to prepare for his new role, which is nothing like his character in the popular Marvel films. At that event, Robert wore a blue patterned blazer over a black T-shirt and matching blue pants. He also wore blue-tinted shades.
