Ramona Singer Has No Interest In ‘RHONY: Legacy’?
Ramona Singer admitted that she has no interest in RHONY: Legacy. As fans know, the cast has gotten a huge shakeup after Season 13 of The Real Housewives of New York. The OG cast members will no longer appear in the series. Instead, they will star in an upcoming spinoff that will stream on Peacock.
Andy Cohen has talked about the new series that will reflect on a younger group of women in New York. On Friday, November 11, Ramona broke her silence about her future with Bravo. She announced that she was doing away with the franchise. This comes amid her feud with Eboni K. Williams, who accused her of racist remarks.
Ramona Singer leaves RHONY
In a new statement, Ramona Singer confirmed that she’s leaving RHONY after 13 seasons. She has no interest in the Bravo series. This may come as a shock to fans, most of which who have been calling for her firing. It was clear that Ramona was still a favorite among the network despite what the fans had to say.
On Friday, Ramona Singer spoke to Page Six about her future on the show. She will be ending her long-running gig as an NYC Housewife. Ramona doesn’t have any interest in the upcoming Legacy spinoff.
“I do not want to do the show any longer,” Ramona Singer confirmed to Page Six. “It’s not for me at this time.”
However, Ramona isn’t leaving on her own accord. Sources close to Bravo revealed that she wasn’t asked to join the new series. They also didn’t ask her to appear in the reboot lineup of younger cast members. Earlier this year, Bravo shocked fans when it shared its plans to revamp the original series with a whole new cast along with the Legacy edition, which will feature fan favorites from past seasons.
Who is appearing on RHONY: Legacy?
On Thursday, November 10, Page Six reported that executives want Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan on the new show. They’re also considering Dorinda Medley, Kelly Bensimon, and Jill Zarin along with other veterans. Ramona Singer wasn’t included in the list of names. However, she’s making it sound like she’s leaving the show behind.
The network wasn’t set on inviting her back. Ramona might’ve had a feeling that her time on the show has come to an end. She wanted to beat Bravo to the punch by sharing a statement. The former reality star has already trashed the new Legacy series to the press.
That could’ve worked against her. The 65-year-old argued that the original cast was good enough and that Bravo doesn’t need to “renew” it. On the Reality with the King podcast, Ramona wondered about the name: “So now what? Are you gonna call it ‘The Loser Show,’ the ‘Loser Legacy?'”
Insiders close to Bravo said this interview didn’t help her chances of securing a spot. What are your thoughts on Ramona Singer not having an interest in RHONY: Legacy? Do you think it was her own decision? Sound off below in the comment section.
