‘DWTS’: Who Topped The Leaderboard On 90s Night?
This week’s episode of DWTS is over and two couples have left the competition. 90s Night was so fun to watch and viewers didn’t want to say goodbye to anyone. But sadly, there was a double elimination tonight and the remaining six couples advanced to the semifinals.
Although it’s always sad to see someone leave, fans love watching couples compete for a spot at the top of the leaderboard. So who managed to take the top spot this week?
DWTS took a step back in time to the 90s this week
It wasn’t just a night for the top eight to prove themselves and earn spots in the semifinals. It was also a great night of live performances too! 90s Night featured several live performances from a few of the greatest artists from the decade.
Multiple couples took home perfect scores from the judges tonight. Charli D’Amelio, Wayne Brady, and Gabby Windey all earned 40/40s for their flawless routines to popular 90s songs. These three kept tying for first place during the first several weeks of the competition, so it was interesting for fans to see them all tie again.
But tonight, individual scores alone weren’t enough to secure a place at the top of the leaderboard. Dance-offs also played an important factor here. So when all was said and done, who had the highest score?
Shangela, Trevor, Wayne, and Charli all won their dance-offs against Daniel, Vinny, Heidi, and Gabby respectfully. The winners each won five bonus points, meaning that both Wayne and Charli eventually dominated the top of the leaderboard at the end of 90s Night. They both earned perfect scores from the judges and earned five bonus points for the dance-off.

Only the top six couples remain
When there’s a double elimination on the line, Dancing With The Stars contestants know they have to put a lot of work into their routines. Sadly, it was the end of the line for two couples. This week, the bottom three couples included Artem Chigvintsev and Heidi D’Amelio, Trevor Donovan and Emma Slater, and Vinny Guadagnino and Koko Iwasaki. After tallying the votes, Tyra Banks revealed that Trevor and Emma were safe from elimination and would continue to the semifinals. This meant that Koko, Vinny, Artem, and Heidi were all finished for the season.
Dancing With The Stars Season 31 will be over soon! The top six couples will start rehearsing for the semifinals this week. Tune into DWTS next Monday night to watch the top six compete for a spot in the finale. You really won’t want to miss out on the fun routines coming up in the final few weeks.
