‘DWTS’: Charli D’Amelio Admits Fighting Nerves Before Performing
TikTok star Charli D’Amelio has absolutely blown the judges away on Dancing With The Stars this year. She does have a dance background, but that doesn’t always translate well to DWTS. But Charli seems to have a handle on the competition.
Right now, she and her partner Mark Ballas are in a three-way for first place with Wayne Brady, Gabby Windey, and their dance partners. Can Charli and Mark pull ahead in week four? Anything is possible at this point.
Charli and Mark managed to pull off a fantastic routine for James Bond Night. However, the 18-year-old admitted she was incredibly nervous to perform this week. What made her so uneasy?
Charli D’Amelio talks nerves ahead of her James Bond Night performance
DWTS contestants routinely have guests in the ballroom. The live audience returned in Season 30 so contestants can once again invite their friends and family to watch them perform.
This week, several people showed up to cheer Charli D’Amelio on. Her sister Dixie showed up along with Charli’s boyfriend, Landon Barker. Landon also brought his father Travis and his step-mom, Kourtney Kardashian.
Charli was thrilled to see them but admitted that it made her incredibly anxious.
“I try not to look at them while I’m preforming, because it makes me nervous,” the TikToker told ET this week. “But it always feels good to see them after, and just get to talk to them, and have them see me do something I’m having a lot of fun doing. They never get to see me dance! So it’s a lot of fun.”
Mark and Charli went on to earn 33 points for their James Bond routine, which put them in a three-way tie for first place for the second week in a row.
The competition may definitely be fierce, but Charli is making many friends during her time on DWTS. Fans can’t wait to see what she and Mark Ballas come up with next.
Tyra Banks makes a major faux pas while introducing the TikToker’s guests
Since Charli D’Amelio’s guests were so high-profile, show hostess Tyra Banks decided to introduce them in the middle of the episode. However, the entire situation was a bit embarrassing. She referred to Landon Barker as “Logan” and completely ignored Dixie D’Amelio. Fans definitely released their rage on Twitter.
Don’t forget to tune into Disney+ Night! Charli and Mark plan to dominate the competition with their routine, which will be a Jazz routine to “‘The Simpsons’ Main Title Theme” from The Simpsons. This isn’t an episode you’re going to want to miss!
