Nick Carter or Backstreet Boys has broken his silence on the death of his brother, Aaron. The 42-year-old notes that while his relationship with his little brother was complicated at best, he had a love for Aaron that would never fade. Nick’s post included a cluster of photos of himself with his brother much earlier in their lifetime.
As TvShowsAce reported yesterday, Aaron Carter was confirmed dead at the young age of 34. The young singer/rapper was found drowned in the bathtub of his own home. While his exact cause of death has yet to be determined, his history of substance abuse has led many to assume drugs may have been involved.
While Nick Carter did not take to social media yesterday when news of his brother’s death broke, Nick did take to Instagram about 20 minutes ago with a tribute to his brother.
Nick Carter breaks silence on Aaron’s death: “My heart is broken”
The Backstreet Boy shared a cluster of photos of himself with his little brother Aaron on Instagram as he penned a statement about his brother’s passing.
He penned: “My heart has been broken today. Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded.”
I have always held onto the hope, that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed. Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss. But the truth is that addiction and mental illness is the real villain here. I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know. I love you Chizz., now you get a chance to finally have some peace you could never find here on earth….God,Please take care of my baby brother.”
Nick Carter notes in his tribute that it is easy to want to place blame on someone for what happened. However, he believes addiction and mental illness are what really took his brother away from him. Nick ended his tribute by hoping his little brother found the peace that was always out of his reach while he was alive.
