Kelly Ripa Tells Ryan Seacrest: Keep Insecurities To Himself

Kelly Ripa told Ryan Seacrest to keep his insecurities to himself. This surprising interaction took place during the latest broadcast of Live with Kelly and Ryan. As fans know, Ryan doesn’t have any children of his own. He tried to make a point as the two talked about kids.

Kelly wasn’t interested in hearing Ryan’s advice. However, he felt he needed to make a point. Kelly wanted to focus on her co-host and “insecurities” during the live broadcast. Read on to learn more and see what else happened.

Ryan Seacrest talked about kids and pets

During Friday’s broadcast of Live with Kelly and Ryan, co-hosts Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest talked about kids and pets. The American Idol host mentioned that one in four pet owners refer to their fur babies as children. He asked Kelly what she does since she shares three kids with her husband Mark Consuelos. However, he had to be careful with how he chose his words.

“Do you call your pets your little baby?” Ryan Seacrest asked as he stumbled over his words. “You have kids, so maybe you don’t. I don’t have kids, so I call my dogs my little baby.”

Kelly looked over at her co-host with a serious expression on her face. She told him that she doesn’t refer to her dogs as her kids. She considers her pets as her pets and her kids as her kids. Ryan seemed embarrassed by her reaction.

“Don’t act like it’s so strange!” he joked.

“I’m not acting like it’s so strange, you asked me a question and I answered it,” Kelly fired back. “Don’t protect your insecurity from me!”

Their crew behind the scenes erupted in laughter. Ryan Seacrest admitted that he got a good laugh out of their interaction. He joked that he was “just getting started” with sharing his insecurities. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Ryan shut down during that broadcast when he admitted he misses his exes’ pets.

Having baby fever?

In a previous broadcast, Ryan Seacrest admitted it was time for him to settle down. He considered the idea of having kids of his own. Last month, he said that it was “about time” he had some little ones running around the house. The co-hosts discussed their summer vacations, to which Ryan had a “big revelation.”

“Going into the trip, I thought, you know what, it’s about time for me to have kids,” Ryan Seacrest admitted to Kelly.

This created an awkward silence in the room. Ryan looked uncertain. He looked over to someone off-camera and asked, “It is, right?” Kelly Ripa laughed at him.
