Luann de Lesseps dragged Bethenny Frankel’s “pathetic” podcast. It’s a war of words between the former Real Housewives of New York stars. Luann feels that Bethenny is still “searching for a storyline” even though she hasn’t been on the show. She accused her former co-star of using the Real Housewives as a vehicle for her podcast.

Luann de Lesseps has words for Bethenny Frankel’s podcast

The former RHONY star talked about her former co-star’s podcast. Bethenny launched a new ReWives podcast about the popular reality series that became a cult classic. Luann de Lesseps feels that it’s “a pretty desperate” attempt at relevancy. Bethenny announced her new venture on Friday, November 4.

Luann already shared her thoughts on the news. She feels that Bethenny is still piggybacking off the Bravo franchise. Luann made an appearance on the Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino podcast. She doesn’t understand why Bethenny wants to bring up the show if she wants nothing to do with it.

“Well, I think that she’s trying to grab the fame of Housewives to keep her storyline going,” Luann de Lesseps frankly told Danny Pellegrino. “It sounds like a desperate search for a storyline for herself, and she’s thrown Housewives under the bus a million times.”

She also brought up a time when Bethenny refused to say the word “Housewives.” Luann took it one step further by calling her former friend a “disgruntled Housewife doing a Housewives podcast.” The former countess made it clear that she will not be subscribing to the podcast and that the Bravo fans won’t be tuning in.

Luann de Lesseps mentioned that Bethenny wanted to move on from the RHONY show. She departed the series after Season 11 in 2019. Luann noticed every time Bethenny would “s*** on the show.” Since then, Bethenny hasn’t stopped bringing up the Housewives.

Calls out former RHONY star’s failed ventures

The former pop star also mentioned Bethenny’s failed ventures. Luann de Lesseps didn’t hold back on her feelings about her former co-star’s projects. She feels that the reason why Bethenny launched this podcast is that she can continue to market off her name while not involving herself with the show.

“It’s pretty sad and pathetic that she has to resort to Housewives because of all of her failed pivots since the Housewives,” Luann de Lesseps continued. “She’s tried everything other than Housewives and it doesn’t seem to work, and now she’s going back to Housewives.”

The most successful brand in Bethenny’s life is her Skinnygirl company. She’s also garnered interest for her skincare reviews on TikTok. Bethenny previously told People that she will not rehash drama with her co-stars. She just wants to rewatch the show as an outsider.
