If you watched Welcome to Plathville Season 4, you watched Kim and Barry’s marriage unravel. She realized she no longer wanted to be married to him, and they decided to split up. They began living apart, and she began putting a lot of time into her dance studio and personal life.
Near the end of the season, the couple officially announced that they were getting a divorce. However, fans realized a couple of months ago that Kim and Barry Plath were not officially divorced yet. Has that changed?

In case you missed the news, Kim was arrested for a DUI about a week ago. Her arrest was in response to an incident over the summer. According to the police report, the Welcome to Plathville mom’s car was found in a ditch. She was then taken to the hospital with minor injuries and a blood alcohol test was done.
The test came back a couple of months later, and it was revealed that she was under the influence of alcohol. So, that’s when a warrant was issued for her arrest. She ended up turning herself in and was released the same day.
After Kim’s arrest, fans began wondering whether she and Barry Plath had officially gotten a divorce yet. However, none of the Plaths have mentioned Kim’s arrest on social media. Her kids have continued posting as they usually do since she was arrested.

InTouch exclusively confirms that Kim and Barry’s divorce has not yet been finalized. It’s unclear what they are doing or when they will be officially divorced.
Neither Kim nor Barry uses social media, and their kids who are on Instagram don’t really talk about things like this.

I just think that Kim is over that lifestyle that he was making her live and that the divorce is probably still in process because she look like she was done in the show. That’s my opinion.
Kim was an evil selfish human. She could no longer manipulate her children and was jealous of the kids. It was easy for the younger kids,because it was cool to get a real life, but they messed the oldest boy up horribly! Sadly, so clueless and immature. It would be interesting to hear from the oldest girl who got out of Dodge! I loved the show initially, but hated last season. I had zero desire to watch Kim. I was so annoyed at the way they totally changed everything. The horrible, hypocritical mother was suddenly the center and the one person who did such good for the children was treated like crap!!! I was furious with TLC for encouraging such behavior. Olivia did not deserve the treatment she got. That poor gal taught those kids how to be a part of society, even though she had a similar life. She was also a victim of Kim and she is deeply scarred. It pains me to see the way TLC encourages such pain. They need to be somewhat considerate of feelings, especially when they are so young and clueless!
