In a conversation with Fox News, Muniz opened up about the possibility of a Malcolm In The Middle reboot. He stated that he would love to be a part of the reboot with the original cast.

“I know Bryan Cranston is really into the idea and he’s kind of heading writing the script and getting everything rolling. So, there might be something. I would be down 100 percent. But I don’t know – we’ll see what happens,” he explained. However, Cranston hasn’t yet confirmed the reboot possibility.

Frankie Muniz Watched All 151 Episodes With Wife

Talking about his excitement about the show as a fan, Muniz said, “When I was filming the show, I obviously was a kid. We did seven seasons, 151 episodes. I didn’t really watch the show when it was on, but I’ve now since watched the show with my wife. We watched all 151 episodes…”

“I realized, ‘Wow, that’s what we were making.’… I can separate myself from being on it and watching it as a fan. And, I would love to know what the family’s up to,” he continued.

Frankie Muniz Gets An Emmy And Golden Globe Nomination

In 2001, Muniz received an Emmy nomination for his role as Malcolm in the sitcom. However, when he talked about his nomination as a child actor, the 36-year-old revealed that he doesn’t remember a lot.

“They were like, ‘It’s 2001 because it’s when you were nominated for an Emmy and the Golden Globes and all that kind of stuff,’ and they’re like, ‘we want you to talk all about it,’ and I go, ‘I don’t remember what I felt then. Like, I don’t, you know.’ And so, it was me kind of blowing off the fact that I can’t say that’s my favorite year because I can’t tell you what happened in 2001, you know. I mean, you would have to tell me what happened in 2001,” he explained.
