Sam Champion is back to the morning grind

On Monday, October 17, Sam Champion shared his usual coffee selfie on Twitter. He posted a clip of himself with his mug in his hand. Sam had a big smile on his face as he was ready to get back to the morning grind. He didn’t seem too sad about heading back to the office.

In fact, he warned fans that he may start dancing at any moment. Sam hasn’t removed his dancing shoes since his return to New York City. His weather forecasts may turn into a musical. The blue-eyed anchor had a different reaction to his Monday morning than most people would.

“Back in the studio @ABC7NY!!” Sam Champion tweeted alongside a GIF of him holding up his mug. “See u this morning!! I may leap and spin at anytime… (@officialdwts tonight!”

He’s still supporting the Season 31 cast of Dancing with the Stars. Sam will be tuning in to see what happens. This week, the dancing competition will stream for two nights on Disney Plus. This week’s themes include Memory Night and Prom Night.

Missing Los Angeles already?

Fans are wondering if Sam Champion is missing his time in Los Angeles. He was treated like a celebrity when he was on DWTS. Now, he has to get back to his normal work life and routine. However, he admitted that he was “physically exhausted” during week four of the show.

Sam went through grueling rehearsals with Cheryl. He also joked that “everything hurt,” even the parts he never felt before. Sam soldiered on and danced through the pain after his brutal injury. His setback placed them at the bottom of the leaderboard.

Still getting the rock star treatment

Despite his elimination from Dancing with the Stars, Sam Champion is still getting the rock star treatment. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, he made his triumphant return to ABC Eyewitness News on Monday morning. His co-anchors did something special for him.

Sam’s co-host Shirleen welcomed him with a big hug. Sam walked up to her and reciprocated the favor before heading to the green screen. Another scene showed him posing with his anchors in front of a gold and black three-tiered cake that had the number “10” on top. His co-anchors held “10” paddles, to indicate Sam did an excellent job no matter what.
