‘Today’ Hoda Kotb Breaks Down Hosting At ‘BravoCon’
Today host Hoda Kotb recently broke down after she couldn’t hold back her tears during a touching segment on her latest gig. The 58-year-old alongside Savannah Guthrie has temporarily stepped away from their chair in the NBC show to report at BravoCon in New York. What happened on the set that made Hoda Kotb cry? Savannah Guthrie And Hoda Kotb Serve As BravoCon Moderators
BravoCon is a convention that lasts three days and brings onboard some of the network’s known faces. In this convention, Andy Cohen takes burning questions from their fans. Not just that, Savannah and Hoda are the moderators of the NYC panel for three days. As per The Sun, the news of BravoCon being chaired by the Today hosts came out last month.

However, Hoda had to control her emotions after someone from the audience took to the stage. The audience member took over the microphone to share a story of her daughter who died in a drunk-driving accident.

She shared with the network hosts, “Several years ago, I lost my daughter in a drunk-driving crash. I don’t sleep very well, but your shows have sustained me.”
Hoda Kotb Voices A Popular Children’s Book
The broadcast journalist couldn’t help but break down in tears after she listened to this tragic tale. She went on to hug the mother while Andy Cohen, the Bravo executive signed the woman’s book for her.

Hoda and Savannah became co-lead anchors for the Today show in 2018 after Matt Lauer’s exit. However, they have also led separate projects outside of the show. Hoda recently narrated an audiobook edition of a popular children’s book titled Goodnight Moon released on September 13. Hoda’s version arrived in celebration of the book’s 75th anniversary. The book was first published back in 1947.
Craig Melvin Gushes Over Hoda’s New Project On-Air
Talking about the book she shared, “When I first saw Goodnight Moon and read it, I was like, ‘What is it about this book that is captivating to kids?’ I realized it’s everything. It’s a child’s room, it’s a child’s brain, and it’s the calming effect that words on a page can have.”

Hoda’s Today co-host Craig Melvin also plugged in her new project on-air on the show as he shared, “Here’s the best part, you can wake up with Hoda [on Today], and Hoda’s gonna help you out your kids to bed at night, as well.”
Talking to Hoda, Craig gushed, “You’ve got the perfect voice for an audiobook.”
