‘Jeopardy!’: Amy Schneider Breaks Silence On Preferred Host
Amy Schneider answered the hardest question in her life. The Jeopardy! champ revealed her preferred host. This has been a hot debate among fans ever since Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik shared the position in 2021. In late July, they were named the permanent hosts who would take over for the late Alex Trebek.
Fans have been comparing the two ever since. The comparisons haven’t slowed down. The super-champ broke her silence about the debate. See what the 40-time winner told fans on Monday, October 10 when she held a Q&A.
Jeopardy! legend breaks her silence
One fan wanted to know which host Amy Schneider liked the most. She held a Q&A with her fans on Reddit. The Redditor wrote, “Ken or Mayim?” Amy was surprisingly honest with her response. She didn’t hold back when she shared her response.
“Ken in a landslide,” Amy Schneider wrote. “No offense to Mayim, but Ken *is* Jeopardy in a way that can’t easily be replicated.”
Other fans took to Amy’s response to react. Most of them agreed with her. They loved her candid and honest response. Of course, they had many other questions for Amy who will appear in the upcoming Tournament of Champions, which was already filmed.
Another Redditor wanted to know how she managed to win every game. They wanted to know her technique. Amy Schneider always looked calm and reassured whenever she played Jeopardy! The graceful Goddess admitted that it took a lot of acting on her part.
“Well, I’ve done a lot of theater, which was super helpful in getting me through the fear of being on stage,” Amy Schneider responded. “But the main thing was in the weeks leading up to the taping, I did a lot of mental preparation.”
The former contestant told herself to focus on nothing else but the game. Amy wasn’t there for the money. She was also appreciative of “not having a studio audience” watch her. It allowed her to concentrate on the game.
Amy Schneider prepares for ToC
Amy Schneider also shared the secrets of her game strategy for the ToC, which she will play for the $250k prize. The episodes will air on Monday, October 31 instead of the regularly-scheduled episodes. One fan wanted to know how she felt about going up against Matt Amodio, who won 38 games earlier in the same season. He ended up with $1.5 million.
“My thinking at the time was basically ‘Don’t play his game’ meaning don’t call the clues in the order he prefers, things like that,” Amy Schneider explained. “But for the ToC, my outlook was just to focus on playing my game, and not worry too much about who was at the other podiums.”
Like the new episodes of Jeopardy!, the tournament will not have a live studio audience. What did you think about Amy Schneider’s response to her favorite host? Do you agree with her? Sound off below in the comment section.
